Mill Park

This drawing shows the Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal going across the oxbow which is now called Mill

Park. It ends at the Clinton River. The area used to be the Village of Frederick. Research is being

done to locate the exact location of the mills. The records show that there were several mills but

some burned down and others were washed away in flood waters. The Moravian Settlement in 1782 was in

this area. The mill race is still there, but the canal at this point has been filled.
