Aqueduct at Yates

The Clinton and Kalamazoo Canal crossed the Clinton River on this aqueduct at the former Village of

Yates (across from Yates Cider Mill) between Shelby Township and Rochester Hills. It is an interesting

place to visit while you sip some cider. There are wonderful trails in the area.

Canal boats never went this far up steam although the plan was for them to go all the way to Lake

Michigan.
