Here is a painting of David Zeisberger (1882?) with a group of Delaware Indian Moravians. These are the people who settled at New Gnadenhutten on the Clinton River across from Woody Park. At that time the Clinton River was named the Huron River of St Clair. In the 1830s the name was changed to honor the Governor of New York, DeWitt Clinton.
