HERONS 2015

Taken 1969-12-31 16:00:00-08

Although Capistrano may have its swallows that return every year, we have the Great Blue Herons. Someone could write a song about that and perhaps become famous. Or at least a poem. They sit on the nests to guard against their enemies. Go on a stroll in Canal Park to look at these beauties. Take binoculars and go before the leaves appear. We have many photos on this site of the herons over the years. Type HERONS in the search to the left of the screen. James Kowlaski has taken this series of photos.
